This week we sanded and varnished this through-lounge and hallway. First all of the old varnish and dirt was removed with a very rough grit sandpaper. The floor was then flattened with a medium grit an d then all the gaps were filled with a mixture of resin and sawdust. A final smoothing off with fine grit sanding belt, a thorough clean up and then 3 coats of quality satin floor varnish.
